2014 Witness to the Host City This year Annual Conference will partner with the YWCA/YMCA for our Witness to the Host City. The YWCA’s shelter for women, Rebecca’s Place works with women and children in a significant ministry that works at educational opportunities, job training, and employment services to equip women and families for a better future. Watch this video about their new shelter opening in June. These are some of the most pressing needs they have that Brethren can respond to at our Annual Conference offering: Socks both men’s and women’s are needed Disposable Baby Diapers any size Hygiene Kits Each kit should include: A hand towel (not finger tip or bath towel) A wash cloth A one gallon zip lock bag that includes: One bath-size bar of soap One bottle of shampoo One container of deodorant One nail clipper One wide-tooth comb One container of dental floss Six band-aids Your generosity each year has been overwhelming. Thank you for bringing any or all of these items to Columbus for our Witness to the Host City offering at the Thursday evening worship service.
